Young Chef Awards and Induction Dinner

Young Chef Awards...
We were welcomed to our first formal dinner of the new year, at Hotel Sofitel Minneapolis, with server-passed Hors d'Oeuvres and Duval-Leroy Champagne.

We then assembled for the Young Chef Awards presentations. Earlier in the day, eight Young Chefs had competed in the Jeunes Chef Rôtisseurs Competition held at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. (see: Competition)

Amanda presented the following awards: Second runner up was Tyler Jossart from Chez Colette Sofitel; First runner up was Noah Balow from Cafe Lurcat; And again this year, the winner was Maria Lodyguina from The Minneapolis Club.
Maria has won the Local Competition for the last three years running. Last year, she also won the Regional Competition and went on to place third in the National Competition. We wish her well again this year!

Following the Jeunes Chefs' awards, we began the Induction Ceremony with the introduction of Bailli Provincial John Burson.
